Like Season 1 before it, Tell Me Lies Season 2 left viewers in nerve-wracking suspense and an unwavering desire for more episodes. The struggle is real, the burning questions seem endless, and I think I speak for all fans when I say we need a Season 3 renewal ASAP.

The Season 2 finale of Hulu’s tumultuous coming-of-age drama, inspired by Carola Lovering’s bestselling 2018 novel, finally took us to Bree (Cat Missal) and Evan’s (Branden Cook) wedding day ), where drama, encounters, and revenge plots were in full force.

When the end credits roll on Season 2, Episode 8, “Don’t Fight Like That, Or I’ll Only Love You More,” fans of Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen’s (Jackson White) chaotic crew ) will want more. And those wondering if season 3 of Tell Me Lies is possible are in the right place.

After Tell Me Lies’ gripping second season, here’s everything we know about the show’s future, including creator Meaghan Oppenheimer’s comments on how long she wants the show to last and more. (Warning: Season 2 finale spoilers ahead!)

Will there be a season 3 of Tell Me Lies on Hulu? Designer Meaghan Oppenheimer gives her opinion

As of the day Tell Me Lies season 2 premieres (Wednesday, October 16), Hulu has yet to renew or cancel the popular drama, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Lucy and her crew chaotic. It’s common for networks and streamers to wait a while after the end of a season to announce the fate of a series, and given that the series has a solid Tomatometer ratinggets lots of love on TikTokand fans left on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, we have a good feeling a revival is on the way.

When Jugo Mobile spoke with showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer and asked if she had a defined arc in mind for the series, here’s what she had to say: “I think it really depends. I think most shows these days work well with three seasons. I think that’s a good, very clear number to me – especially when it’s a smaller story, not a big procedural thing.

Although it seems like Oppenheimer could be open to more than three seasons if the stars and storylines align, she noted, “I would rather have something end when it’s good than drag it out too long .” That said, the world surely deserves a season 3 to answer all these burning questions.

Tell Me Lies season 2 ending explained: Tell Me Lies Season 2, Episode 8 Recap

If you need a detailed recap of Tell Me Lies season 2, Jugo Mobile has you covered, but for the purposes of season 2 cliffhangers, here’s what you need to know.

In 2015, Stephen and Lucy slept together on Bree and Evan’s wedding day. Max and potentially Lydia (if their engagement was real?!) are probably history. And maybe Bree and Evan are too. For what? Because in the final moments of the Season 2 finale, Stephen unleashed a crucial step in his long, twisted game of revenge. Minutes before the ceremony, he was nowhere to be found and as Bree checked the mirror one last time, Stephen sent her a damning audio file from 2008, in which Evan admits to cheating on her with Lucy. As a haunting cover of “Mr. Brightside,” sung by absolute icon Cat Missal, begins to swell in the background, Lucy walks up behind Bree, looks at her in the mirror and asks, “Are you ready?” AHH!!!

What could season 3 of Tell Me Lies be about?

First of all, we need to know what’s going on with this marriage. Does Bree go through with the nuptials? Does she kill Stephen? Or Evan? Or Lucy? Or all three? Is she running away with her mystery caller? We need answers!

After the season 1 finale, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer said she was pretty sure Pippa knew Lucy and Evan had slept together, so that’s something else to potentially explore. “It’s that comment in the pilot where she says, ‘This is our opportunity to not be shitty, to be friends with her for once.'”

Besides wanting to see the aftermath of all the storylines from 2008’s Season 2 and exploring more of the college years, there are also so many developments happening between Baird and Breevan’s wedding festivities that we don’t know about . How did Pippa and Diana finally become an item? How the hell can Lydia and Stephen get engaged? And much more!

So can you see how they took this step in their relationship? Because it would be like, tell me lies. The post-college years after marriage. Is this something you’ve thought about?

“I think obviously there are so many things that need to happen in the eight years that we haven’t seen,” Oppenheimer said. Jugo Mobile. “So, yes. I think it would be nice to see more.

Ultimately, it will be interesting to see where a potential season 3 leaves this group of friends in 2015 or beyond. Can they survive Stephen DiMarco? Will they all have their final fallout? And who will get justice? Come on, Hulu. Don’t leave us hanging.

As we eagerly wait for season 3 updates, Tell Me Lies season 2 is now streaming on Hulu.
