Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought that a simple kiss between Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White) in Season 1 of Meaghan Oppenheimer’s hit Hulu drama could possibly set the stage for one of the most toxic, messed up and irresistible shows. on television – but hey, here we are!

Diana the brain
In the season 2 finale of Tell Me Lies, Stephen decided to call it quits with Diana after realizing that she probably wouldn’t love him if she knew how horrible he was. Oh, and his LSAT scores were bad and his father’s connections were no longer of any use to Stephen, so what good was Diana? At the time, Diana initially seemed upset about the breakup, but later in the episode, she met with a counselor who told her she had a perfect chance of getting into Yale early thanks to her high scores on the LSAT. That’s right! She lied to Stephen – and not just about the test! Diana called the bank and asked them to remove the hold she had placed on her own credit card to make Stephen believe that his father had cut off his finances. Then, when her father came to pick her up, she told him that she had to make Stephen believe that the breakup was his idea. A queen!
“I think Diana is fundamentally a survivor and I think she’s always going to protect herself,” Oppenheimer said. Jugo Mobile.
“I think this has been building for a very long time. I think it was from seeing the photos. I think that was really the nail in the coffin, and [that and his x-ray that suggested he was in a car crash] happened on the same day,” added Crowder, who plays Diana. “I’m just solidifying that – because up until that point it was all kind of hearsay. After Lucy slept with Stephen and Leo on the same day, then decided to get back together with Leo without telling either guy that she slept with the other, it was a bold move to go to a party university. But that’s what she did! And that’s how his two guys crossed paths and started fighting!
Leo has worked so hard to suppress his rage and resist Stephen’s attempts to bait him this season, but in front of the lit Christmas tree, he lashed out and punched Stephen’s smug face until it bled while Lucy begged him to stop. When the one-sided fight finally ended, a horrified Lucy shouted, “What’s wrong with you?” He didn’t even fight back. “I love this moment,” said Jackson White, who plays Stephen. Jugo Mobile in reference to Stephen’s smirk. “There are a few scenes at the end [with Thomas Doherty]. He’s definitely more of a Lucy type. But it was cool. He’s hilarious. It was really a lot of fun.
Doherty acknowledged that filming the fight scene “was really cool,” but admitted he felt it afterward. “My arm hurt so much,” Doherty said Jugo Mobile. “It was like a Theragun. I remember making it to the end. I think he definitely finds something he likes or admires in the people he dates, but there’s this certain layer that is maybe even part of the manipulation. He manipulates himself. It’s so deep, man. He’s so messed up. I feel like it’s probably both. We also know that his family is really wealthy. And it tends to appeal to girls from wealthy families. This seems to be a theme. So probably some of that too.
That said, he also added, “I think it’s pretty impressive how much he’ll go to to get the better of someone,” so perhaps his long con runs even deeper than that. that we think.
As for whose anger Stephen should fear most after the wedding day blow? Of Lucy, Bree, Evan and Lydia, White says, “I think it’s still Lucy.” Always. Before the Season 2 finale ends, we head to 2015, where Bree and Evan are about to get married. Before the ceremony, Stephen was nowhere to be found, and as Bree checked the mirror one last time, he sent her a damning audio file from 2008, in which Evan confessed to cheating on her with Lucy.
“The voicemail was evil. Honestly, it was some long-running psychotic shit, but it was great TV. Season 3? What Season 3 hopefully has in store for us
When Jugo Mobile asked Oppenheimer if she had a defined arc in mind, here’s what she had to say: “I think it really depends. I think most shows these days work well with three seasons. I think that’s a good, very clear number to me – especially when it’s a smaller story, not a big procedural thing.
If there is a season 3 (which there should be!), here’s what some of the actors would like to see for their characters.
“I think it would be good for Evan to distance himself. He already did it, sort of, as you saw in the future. But I think it would be good for him to get away from the toxicity and grow up a little bit and be able to have that space to mature and really improve and make better decisions,” Cook said.
As for the distance, Spencer House, who plays Wrigley, agrees. “Last season, Wrigley really started to wake up a little bit to Stephen’s antics and manipulations. I think I’d like it to go in that direction. I think it would be interesting. And if Doherty somehow returns as Leo, he would like to see him make amends with Lucy. “He was corrupted, and it’s all intertwined. It’s not what it used to be.
